The MTN Ride Crater Cruise is one of South Africa's most prestigious mountain bike festivals. Every second weekend of October, mtbikers from across the continent flock to Parys in the Free State, South Africa to compete for the Mountainbike Marathon title <King and Queen of the Crater>, OR to come and enjoy the beauty of the Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site along the Vaal River and indulge in the friendliness and hospitality of our rural community. The Petit Paris venue is the home of the event and is only 100km from Johannesburg.

u/4	~800m We call it: TOUR DE FACTORY! u/6 riders with sidewheels are also encouraged to rather participate in this event	Participants enter according to their age categories Entrants bring their own bicycles, tricycles, BMX's etc. (The route runs along dirt roads) This is a non-competitive fun event and there will be no cash prizes We allow one person to accompany each participant. Each participant will be issued with a colour-coded race number board Helmets are compulsory in this event Parents/ guardians will have to sign an indemnity clause on entering.
